Biography: The career of Dr. Sandy Jost mirrors the progression of change in science as it has come to recognize the power of connection between body, mind, & spirit in healthcare and wellness.
With a BS in biology, MS in nutritional biochemistry, and PhD in psychology with a focus on psychoneuroimmunology, her aptitude took her initially from the research world where she published in recognized scientific journals, to commercial roles within the advancing areas of biotechnology, to her current role as educator, where she has now found her true calling.
A noted author, speaker, and educator on the body-mind connection, Jost founded ONE Health Institute to promote more medical training of the scientifically grounded integrative techniques, ONE Health Publishing to further published works that support the patient-focused complementary & alternative therapies, & serves in various consulting capacities.
Jost uses every avenue possible to spread this empowering message of the bodymind: that through “whole-body listening” we can maximize our psychological and physical health. |

Amy Abernethy, M.D.
Dr. Amy Abernethy obtained her medical degree and post-graduate training in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology at Duke University; she also pursued concentrated training in Palliative Medicine and Cancer Pain Clinical Trials at Flinders University in South Australia. Currently, Dr. Abernethy is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Nursing at Duke University, Adjunct Associate Lecturer at Flinders University in South Australia, and Director of the Duke Cancer Care Research Program (DCCRP). She is a faculty member of both the Duke Clinical Research Institute and the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center Cancer Control Program, and a Senior Fellow of the Duke Center for Clinical Health Policy Research. Dr. Abernethy’s research focuses on conducting high quality clinical research trials that generate evidence-based solutions for common problems in oncology such as cancer pain, psychological distress, breathlessness, insomnia and weight change, with a specific focus on improving the cancer patient experience. Dr. Abernethy’s portfolio also includes studies of health service delivery models, quality of care, and impact of policy at the levels of provider, institution, and health system. |

JoAnne Lenart-Weary
JoAnne Lenart-Weary believes in helping women empower themselves by creating beautiful and personal enviroments.
She is known as “The Queen of Decorating.” JoAnne has been a successful interior decorator for almost 30 years and now focuses on helping others to follow their passion by teaching others her System for Success.
JoAnne has had a passion for decorating since she was a little girl and considers herself blessed that she is doing what she loves still at age 50+! She was fortunate to have a talented mother that let her develop her skills by allowing her to rearrange the furniture almost every Saturday from the time she was 10 years old. In the 70's, JoAnne started a wallpapering business and found her clients were far more interested in her creative decorating ideas. Shortly thereafter she began her decorating business and has never looked back. She offers all facets of decorating services and specializes in the redesign or "One Day Decorating" aspect of the decorating industry, which focuses on working with what you have to transform your room. JoAnne is also the founder of One Day Decorating and the ODDAA organization.
JoAnne is a well-respected industry leader and has trained designers, decorators, stagers, interior redesigners, and wanna-be decorators from all over the country. In fact, she has trained individuals from Canada, Australia, and Scotland. She has appeared on HGTV's "Decorating Cents", and is a weekly guest on WJET-TV, an ABC affiliate which has dubbed her the “Queen of Decorating.” She has also appeared on “Good Day Atlanta” and a variety of other morning news programs across the country.
JoAnne has also been a guest on a variety of radio shows. She is a frequent speaker for a variety of national conventions including , O.D.D.A.A., and the National Flower Show. She is a contributing editor to a variety of Internet sites and is a much requested speaker for women’s groups and retail stores such as Kirkland’s and Stein Mart.
